Grace Julia has a bold approach to filmmaking with an unapologetic female gaze. Whether it’s commercials or content, she delivers dynamic, unexpected imagery paired with authentic, emotive storytelling.

Grace’s passion for fashion has seen her gain international recognition for her unique visual style. Brutal was selected for La Jolla International Fashion Film Festival and the Melbourne Fashion Film Awards, amongst many other accolades. Following this success, she has directed campaigns for numerous brands from Best & Less to 3M.

Never one to shy away from a difficult topic, Grace has also worked with non-profits like The Blackdog Institute to bring real people’s deeply personal experiences to the fore. 2022 saw Grace make a foray into the world of narrative, directing Contrition, a short film set in the 1960s and Let’s Get Ducking Famous, a comedy web series starring former Miss Universe Australia.

Grace is a fierce advocate for diverse on-screen representation and gender equality. Outside of cinema, her obsessions are live music, tattoos and her labradoodle, Bo. A dual Hungarian-Australian citizen, Grace is available to work anywhere within Australia or the EU.
